Faith Driven Investing

Money is not the mission.
It is a tool for the mission.

Your legacy is not just what you leave behind.
It is what you build together.

Most faith-driven leaders build wealth for their family.
But few bring their family into the process.

That used to be me.
Head down.
Focused on growth.
Focused on ROI.

Then one day I asked,
Would I be proud to explain this investment to my kids?

That one question changed everything.

Now we talk about more than returns.
We talk about purpose.
We talk about impact.
We talk about why we invest.

Not just how.

It is not about the spreadsheet.
It is about the story.

You already lead with clarity at work.
You can do the same at home.

Have you read or listened to anything that has shaped your money mindset?

p.s. we are starting our financial training young with our kids, have you read the tuttle twins?

“𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹?”
That fear almost kept me from investing and taking a risk

I’m a father of four. I couldn’t afford to be reckless.
And for a long time, playing it safe felt like the holy choice.

But here’s what changed:

→ I stopped asking, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭?
→ I started asking, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘺?

God doesn’t call us to reckless risk
But He also doesn’t call us to bury our talents out of fear

→ Avoiding risk doesn’t make me a better father
→ Avoiding wisdom and stewardship disguised as safety is still disobedience

So I did what every faith-driven dad must do before investing:

→ I went to the word
→ I prayed
→ I sought wise counsel
→ I learned how to evaluate downside risk
→ I aligned my investing with Kingdom purpose

Then I moved
Not in fear
But in faithful action

If you’re a father carrying this same fear
You’re not alone
But you’re not called to stand still

→ You’re called to steward
→ You’re called to multiply
→ You’re called to lead with conviction and peace

Have you ever been scared to make a decision in faith?

p.s. brown bear brown bear is Rosemary's goto book, whats a children's book for a little one in your life?

𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗱?

That question used to haunt me.

I didn’t want to chase money

I didn’t want to fall into greed

I didn’t want to build my own kingdom and pretend it was His

But the more I studied Scripture, the more I saw a pattern:

→ Joseph managed Egypt’s wealth with integrity

→ The Proverbs 31 woman invested in land and traded wisely

→ Jesus spoke about money more than almost anything else

It’s not about the money

→ It’s about the motive

→ It’s about the heart behind why we do what we do

Are we chasing comfort

Or creating impact

Are we trusting in returns

Or trusting in the One who provides

Money isn’t the issue

Misplaced trust is

When your heart is aligned

You can invest with peace and purpose

So I created a new standard:

→ Every investment begins with prayer

→ Every deal must align with Kingdom values

→ Every dollar must move me toward God’s mission

When you invite God into your portfolio

You stop building wealth for approval

And start building wealth for impact

What helps you stay grounded while growing?

You don’t need to know everything
You just need to get started

If you’ve ever felt behind on investing
You’re not alone

→ Real estate felt overwhelming
→ Funds felt confusing
→ Even asking questions felt intimidating

As a father and leader
I felt the pressure to have it all figured out
But deep down, I didn’t want to make a costly mistake

So I waited
I hesitated
I delayed stewardship out of fear of looking foolish

But here’s what changed:

→ I stopped trying to master it all
→ I started surrounding myself with people who had
→ I stopped hiding behind complexity
→ I started asking simple, honest questions

You don’t need an MBA
You need humility
And the courage to ask

I realized that understanding comes after obedience
Not before

And no one builds anything meaningful alone

So I chose to learn
To lean in
To be a good steward, not a perfect one

Now I help other faith-driven leaders do the same

Because clarity kills fear
And confident stewardship starts with one conversation

It’s a simple way to learn how real estate and alternative investing work step by step

What questions would you ask as a new investor?

P.S., the earliest age you'd let your kids help you drive?

I was managing multiple investment properties
With a desire to be generous
And meet the needs of my growing family

But I was maxed out

→ Late-night maintenance calls
→ Endless spreadsheets
→ No margin left to be present

I thought there had to be an easier way

And there was

→ I realized passive income isn’t a luxury
→ It’s a responsibility
→ Not for more comfort
→ But for more capacity

Capacity to be present
Capacity to give
Capacity to serve

The very reason I thought I couldn’t invest
Was the reason I needed to

Because if I wanted to stop trading time for money
I needed to start putting money to work

And no, I didn’t do it alone

→ I found people I could trust
→ I asked hard questions
→ I started small
→ I learned as I went

And now I help others like me do the same

Because busyness doesn’t disqualify you
It’s the very reason to begin

When you have four kids
Safe can become an idol

I’ve prayed over every major investment decision I’ve made
And not every one has felt peaceful at first

→ I’ve had deals fall through
→ I’ve seen unexpected expenses
→ I’ve questioned if the timing was right

When your margin matters and your family is counting on you
It’s easy to hold back
Not out of laziness
But out of fear

But here’s what I’ve learned

→ Safety isn’t always staying still
→ And movement isn’t always reckless

The key is alignment

→ Does this investment align with our values
→ Is it a wise next step, not just a flashy one
→ Have I sought counsel and brought it to prayer

I don’t move fast
But I do move with intention

Because the safest place to be
Is in obedience to where God is leading

And clarity creates confidence
Even in uncertain markets

What Scripture or prayer helps you discern your next step?

I don’t want to mess up my kids’ future
And my goal isn’t just wealth transfer
It’s wisdom transfer

→ Am I saving enough
→ Am I teaching them what matters
→ Am I modeling what stewardship looks like in real life

There’s a weight to fatherhood
Not just to protect
But to prepare

And sometimes the pressure to get it all right
Can keep you from moving at all

But here’s what I’ve learned

→ My kids don’t need a perfect plan
→ They need a present father
→ One who leads with faith, not fear
→ One who lives out what it means to multiply what’s been entrusted to him

I don’t invest just to grow wealth
I invest to grow wisdom

I want my kids to see
→ What it looks like to manage resources with purpose
→ What it means to align money with mission
→ That stewardship is not about control
It’s about surrender

So I stopped trying to guarantee outcomes
And started modeling obedience

Because the greatest legacy I can give them
Is not just what I leave behind
It’s what I live in front of them

Comment 1 if you’ve ever felt the pressure to get it all right
Comment 2 if you’re working to model faith-filled stewardship in front of your kids

p.s. ever jam with your kids?

What if success changes me

What if I lose focus

What if I forget who it’s really for

I’ve asked those questions

→ I’ve seen people start with good intentions

→ I’ve seen money pull hearts off-mission

→ I’ve felt pride creeping in after a win

And I’ve prayed

God, don’t let me build something that pulls me away from You

Because the goal was never just financial freedom

It was spiritual freedom

To give more

To serve more

To show my kids what real surrender looks like

That’s why I keep asking myself

→ Am I holding this with open hands

→ Am I inviting wise people to speak into it

→ Am I walking in humility or just saying the right words

I still want to win

But not at the cost of my witness

Because money isn’t the mission

It’s a tool

To point back to the One who provides it all

So I keep it simple

→ Stay rooted in Scripture

→ Stay close to people who keep me grounded

→ Stay generous

That’s how I fight pride

Not with perfection

But with presence

Have you ever felt the tension between growth and humility?

Have you ever found ways to stay rooted while building?

Investing isn’t worth it if it costs peace in your marriage
The best return is when we’re unified in the decision

I’ve made investment decisions I believed in
But I’ve also hit pause when I sensed we weren’t aligned

→ Not because I lacked conviction
→ But because I value unity more than urgency

Marriage is partnership
And when it comes to finances
That partnership gets tested

I’ve learned the hard way
It’s not just about the deal
It’s about peace

→ If one of us is feeling anxious
→ If one of us isn’t clear on the risk
→ If one of us isn’t sure why it matters

We wait

Not forever
But until we’ve prayed
Talked it through
And come to the decision together

Sometimes I’ve needed to slow down and explain
Not the mechanics
But the mission

→ Why this deal supports our calling
→ Why this isn’t about chasing wealth
→ Why it creates margin for our family and space for impact

Because at the end of the day
Stewardship is a team effort
And unity is worth more than any return

Send 1 if you’ve ever had to slow down to stay in sync with your spouse
Send 2 if you and your spouse now make investing decisions together

What helps you create unity around financial decisions in your home
I love meeting with spouses on calls and helping align around mission and margin.

How do I know who to trust
That’s one of the first questions I asked when I started investing

→ Anyone can make a deal look good on paper
→ Anyone can drop buzzwords and talk upside
→ But not everyone is aligned on values

And for faith-driven leaders
That matters

Because it’s not just about financial return
It’s about who you’re locking arms with
It’s about whether their mission matches your conviction

Over the years, here’s what I’ve learned to look for

→ Do they communicate with clarity and transparency
→ Are they willing to share the hard stuff, not just the highlights
→ Do they steward what they’ve already been given
→ Would I be proud to introduce them to my spouse or my pastor

If the answer’s no
I walk away

Because the right opportunity with the wrong people
Is the wrong opportunity

You don’t need perfect
You need alignment
Mission
Character
And consistent fruit over time

I take trust seriously
Because I know what it costs when it’s broken
And I know how powerful it is when it’s earned

Send 1 if you want the list of questions I ask before every deal
What’s one non negotiable you look for in a deal partner?

p.s. Does anyone spontaneously go camping?

I hear it all the time
“I wish I had started earlier”

One of the biggest lies in investing
Is that your window has closed

→ You’re not too late
→ You’re not behind
→ You’re not disqualified

The question isn’t “how old are you”
It’s “are you ready to move in faith now”

You don’t need a decade of experience
You need one decision of obedience

→ Start with what’s in your hands
→ Ask the right questions
→ Find trusted people
→ Keep it aligned with your values

I’ve seen people in their 40s, 50s, even 60s
Build passive income
Create legacy
And walk in purpose

It’s never been about perfect timing
It’s always been about faithful stewardship
